Biography: Dr. Sharifa Al Mahrizi, our Medical Director has been at the helm of Al Reem Medical Center since it’s inception. She brings with her over 25 years of experience as a Senior Consultant OBYGYN and is an alumna of McGill University, Canada. Dr. Mahrizi specializes in fertility and IVF treatments and is an advanced Endoscopic Surgeon. Apart from general Gynecological consultations, her core competence lies in treating patients with recurrent miscarriage, polycystic ovaries, menstrual disturbances and endometriosis. She also performs Gyn-endoscopic surgeries, 4D vaginal ultrasound of the uterus and office hysteroscopy without anesthesia. In 2019, Dr. Mahrizi attended the International Conference on Advances in Obstetrics and Gynecology, held in Muscat, Oman.

Biography: Dr. Lamya Al Kharousy is our Senior Consultant OBGYN and also specializes in pelvic restoration and urogynecology. She has been associated with Al Reem Medical Center since 2017. Her expertise involves consultation and treatment of general gynecological disorders including menstrual disturbances, fibroids and contraceptive treatments like IUCD insertion. Her vast experience as an OBGYN makes her proficient to handle high risk and complicated C-sections with placenta accrete or percreta issues. In addition, Dr. Kharousy provides reconstructive surgery such as perineorrhaphy, laser vaginoplasty and pelvic floor reconstruction to counter urinary incontinence. She also performs minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries for ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy, hysteroscopy, LAVH stress and urge urinary incontinence in females.

Dr Nadiya Alharthy

Biography: Dr. Nadiya Al Harthy is the senior consultant of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Al Reem Medical Center. Prior to joining us she was the Head of Gastroenterology Department at the Royal Hospital. Dr. Harthy holds the distinction of being the Sultanate’s only lady Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. She specializes in treatment of irritable bowel syndrome and hepatitis, amongst others. She is competent in procedures such as colonoscopy, endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, esophageal manometry, OGD, barium swallow test and liver biopsy.

Biography:  Moza Al Salmani was the Fetomaternal Head of the OBGYN department at the Royal Hospital, before she joined Al Reem Center in 2017. Dr. Salmani’s practice includes management of high-risk pregnancies, complicated pregnancies with fetal anomalies, antenatal care of patients with high-risk of pre-term labor and with family history of genetic disorders. She is also very proficient in screening for chromosomal and early diagnosis of fetal anomalies.

Biography: Dr. Fikra Al Busaidi, is an OBGYN Specialist in the division of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Al Reem Medical Center. While Dr. Busaidi’s profile includes general gynecology and obstetrics, her present practice is focused around infertility treatment and management including investigations, ovulation stimulation and IUI. He is an efficiently managing and dealing with sick patients coming for surgery. For a long time was a clinical teacher for postgraduate doctors at Oman Medical Specialty Board. 10 year’s experience at Royal Hospital, Oman. He is well educated has Master degree from Egypt, European Diploma in Anesthesia &ICU, and has Diploma from France at Pain management.
