About Dr. Vryghem Clinic
This is the clinic of one of Belgium’s leading eye surgeons, Dr. Vryghem. Procedures are performed using the advanced Eximer laser system at the clinic. Procedures performed include, Lasik , Lasek and PRK refractive surgery, implant surgery, radial keratotomy, intra corneal rings, cataract surgery, macular function tests, cosmetic eyelid surgery using Treatment for lines and wrinkles, glaucoma treatments, strabismus treatments and treatments of the diseases of the retina.

Biography: As member of the comity direction, Dr. J.C. Vryghem organised as well, a session of "Life Surgery" from the St Jean hospital in Brussels for the BSCRS Winter Meeting on the 26th of January 2008. The following international surgeons were present: Dr. Maluygin (Russia), Dr. Stodulka (Czech Republic) Dr. Wehner (Germany), Dr. Lehmann (Germany), Dr. Meurs (Netherlands), Dr. Lesieur (France) and Dr. Araujo Gomes (Portugal). affiche bscrs a4.pdf ,mics masters .pdf He was Vice-president of the Belgian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery between 1995 and 2001 and is still a member of the Board of that scientific society. Dr. Vryghem has been Head of the Ophthalmology Department at St-Jean Clinic in Brussels since 1996. He is responsible for training residents on behalf of the Ophthalmology Department of the Universitaire Ziekenhuizen te Leuven (K.U.Leuven) and has contributed to the training of twenty-four ophthalmologists since 1993. He was an academic consultant in the Universitaire Ziekenhuizen Leuven (K.U.Leuven) from 1986 to 1994 and is now an honorary academic consultant.
