Biography: Graduated Medhat Said Abdel-Salam in bootleg (Cairo University) in 1979, he worked then as a resident, Department of Ophthalmology, for a period of three years after which earned a master's degree in Ophthalmology. Then he traveled to the United States of America, where he joined the Department of retinal surgery at the University of California in San Francisco for a year under the supervision of Prof. Alexander Irvine.
