Biography: Graduated in 1978 his degree doctor of medicine, surgery and obstetrics at the then University of Ghent. Specialised then in orthopedic surgery, also in Ghent, and received his accreditation in 1983. Afterwards he obtained, in 1984, an additional title as a doctor of biomedical sciences at the university. From 1983 to 1990, he was a determined staff member in the department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology of the University Hospital of Ghent. During this period he also worked as a sports physician for the Royal Belgian Football Association and he was, in 1994, appointed chief physician to the A-team. Now he attends all matches at home and abroad.Since 1990, Dr. Marc Goossens worked in clinic AZ Maria-Middelares Ghent. Its activity is mainly focused on hip replacement surgery and knee and hand surgery. In 2005 he became head of department of Orthopaedics at the AZ Mary Mediatrix of Ghent and teacher training for junior doctors.

Biography: Graduated in 1999 his diploma doctor at Ghent University. Specialised then in orthopaedic surgery and traumatology also in Ghent and received his accreditation in 2005. During his specialist training he took also a two year program in the Biomedical and Clinical Engineering also at the University of Ghent . After his general orthopaedic surgical training, he left for a foreign fellowship in hip and knee surgery at the renowned centre of Prof. JN Argenson in Marseille (France). Since June 2006 he has been associated with Dr. Marc Goossens to further expand the service focused on hip and knee pathology - including arthroscopy, ligament surgery, and primary prosthesis revision surgery.
