About Spires Dental Clinic
We are a different type of dental practice to what people normally find. Our difference stems from our philosophy about dentistry; we like to call it Altrusitic Dentistry.
Dentistry is very reactive; we wait for a problem and then act. This is why so many people in this country have so many fillings or missing teeth, and as dentistry leads to more dentistry the mouth needs more and more work carried out over the years, eventually leading to the loss of teeth.
Our aim is to assess each of our clients as an individual, and then put a plan in place that leads to a healthier mouth. If a problem is noted we look at why it has occurred, resolve the problem and put in measures to minimise the problem for reoccurring.
The result? Our clients need less and less dentistry over time, gaining more confidence in there smile. We’ve been doing this for years now and we know this is the only way to care for our clients.

Biography: I qualified from the University of Bristol in 1998 and immediately began my career in general practice. For the past 11 years I have run my own practice in Lichfield, Staffordshire. Over the years I have trained with some of the finest dentists and specialists in the UK and Europe, learning more and more about all different aspects of dentistry. This has given me a holistic approach to dentistry as I am not wedded to one particular treatment modality and am able to offer our clients a wide range of options. Although I consider myself to be competent in many areas of dentistry I have particular expertise in: Enhancing smiles Restoring teeth to optimal strength Replacing missing teeth with fixed in alternatives Dental Implants Precision attachment dentures I have undertaken extensive postgraduate training in the field of dental implants: completing a year long course with the ITI (International Team for Implantology) in 2007 and spending two years with the Royal College of Surgeons studying for my Diploma in Implant dentistry. As well as many other minor courses I have also completed three, one-year postgraduate courses in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. My general ethos in dentistry is to help my clients achieve stable, healthy mouths which require the least amount of dentistry. The standard that I set is that all our work must mimic nature in terms of function and aesthetics. The loves of my life include my family, dentistry and cricket. Probably in that order

Biography: Beth is one of our dental nurses and is crucial in helping to look after our clients. As a dental nurse her main role is to ensure that our cross infection controls are performed to the highest standards and to ensure that all our treatments proceed efficiently and to the highest standards. She also serves as a treatment coordinator, someone who can answer the more technical queries that you may have and walk you through the type of treatment you require and the stages necessary.
