Biography: He is the principal at Backwell Dental Care, is a highly trained cosmetic and general dentist with many years experience. His extensive knowledge and advanced training allow him to practice the most delicate and effective cosmetic procedures available today. Patrick’s main interests lie in making real and lasting improvements to his patients’ smiles. He is trained in Oesteo ˆTi Implants, Invisalign Orthodontics, Facial Aesthetics, Porcelain Veneers and the latest Tooth Whitening systems. Patrick trained at Guy’s and won the Newland Pedley prize for excellence in operative dentistry, general dentistry and prosthetics. gdc 67373
Dr Paul Bucknell

Biography: He qualified as a dental technician making precision crowns and bridges before becoming a dentist. He received the LS Farrar scholarship for 2 years while at dental school. Paul is the postgraduate IT tutor for the South West and works part-time at the Bristol Dental Hospital. He has also worked with the Eastman Dental Institute and the Royal College of Surgeons of England developing postgraduate educational material for dentists. Biography: BSc (HONS), BDS MJDF RCS (ENG) Dentist GDC 209500. He qualified from Bristol Dental Hospital with a Merit, where he won the Claudius Ash Prize in dental techniques, the Ivoclar Vivadent Prize for Technical Excellence and received letters of commendation from the Head of the Dental Hospital every year. He has previously worked in two busy family dental practices in Bristol and has moved to the local area with his young family. His particular interests are cosmetic dentistry and all round family care, while he is also interested in short term adult orthodontic braces with Six Month Smiles. Chris’ favourite sport is skiing, but he is also a qualified scuba diver and enjoys cycling and surfing. Most of his spare time he spends doing DIY and enjoys spending time with his family.

Biography: Helen is local to the area and joined Backwell Dental Care in July 2006 after graduating from Newcastle University School of Dental Hygiene. Whilst studying Helen was awarded the General Dental Councils Prize for Professionalism as well as an in house merit from the Dean of the Dental school for her clinical work. Helen gets great rewards from working with her patients to improve their knowledge and understanding of periodontal disease.
