Biography: Joined RVH (Royal Victoria Hospital) in Barrie in 2004 as a consultant plastic surgeon. He finished medical school in 1987 and then rotated in different surgical specialty fields (general surgery, orthopedic surgery and trauma surgery) before he joined the Tripoli Center for Plastic Surgery in 1989, where he stayed until 2004. He received his Canadian specialist certificate in plastic surgery from McMaster University and plastic surgery fellowship from the University of Toronto in 2001. Dr. Tumi is known as a skilled and innovative surgeon, he performs both reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries and does his best to serve his local community, Barrie and Simcoe County as well as the Muskoka area. Dr. Tumi also does volunteer work in plastic surgery in developing countries when there is some spare time. Dr. Tumi consistently attends workshops, symposia and conferences in the field of plastic and cosmetic surgery and related subjects from all over the world to enhance his skills. He brings up to date knowledge and technology to his patients.
