Ignite Medispa, situated on the top-floor of Wollongong Private Hospital, is the world’s first full-service medispa with dental facilities located within a hospital.
Founded by aesthetic surgeon, Dr Niro Sivathasan, Ignite Medispa offers a comprehensive collection of health rejuvenation services including cosmetic surgery, cosmetic medicine (injectables), skin cancer specialisation, general and cosmetic dentistry, wellness and weight loss, massage and beauty services. Ignite Medispa’s Illawarra-location makes for convenient access to both the South Coast and Sydney areas, and offers services previously unavailable in the region. It aims to redefine the healthcare industry by providing excellence and integrity, unsurpassed standards of quality, and state-of the art equipment.

Biography: BSc (Hons), MB, BS (Lond), DRCOG, AesthMed Board Cert. (AAAM), GradDipAesthMed (UK), PGCert BA, MRCS (Eng), DU (Paris), AFACP, FCPCA, FFMACCS, FACCS, FASCBS, FAACS.(D.A.M.E. (C.A.S.A.))Dr. Niro completed his bachelor’s and medical degrees from King’s College London and University College London, respectively, and worked across a variety of surgical specialties but focussed on plastic and burns surgery, and on head and neck reconstruction. This was followed by a 2-year higher fellowship in general cosmetic surgery in Australia, and then a 2-year 'super-specialty' surgical fellowship in cosmetic penile surgery. Multiple postgraduate qualifications in general surgery, cosmetic surgery, and aesthetic medicine, were gained in America, Australia, Britain, and France. Further to clinical experience from four continents, including charitable surgery in Asia, Dr. Niro is now exclusively in private clinical practice and is a senior trainer and K.O.L. (key opinion leader) for the pharmaceutical and medical devices industries (since 2014). He has published over 35 medical articles, spoken at conferences around the world, written book chapters, and is reviewer and editorial committee-member for various medical journals in addition to being a recognised medical educator on the national and international stage.Dr. Niro is also a 'Designated Aviation Medical Examiner' for the Australian Government.
