Biography: Neurophysiotherapist I qualified as a physiotherapist in 1986 from Manchester School of Physiotherapy. I then worked as a physiotherapist in Portsmouth before travelling around the world for a year in 1989 – 1990. On my return I joined the inpatient physiotherapy teams at local hospitals and had the opportunity to work with patients who had suffered from many different neurological conditions including stroke, multiple sclerosis, head injury and Parkinson’s Disease. From there I developed my clinical skills by working within a specialist rehabilitation team where we supported patients with long term neurological conditions as well as providing skilled treatment for newly diagnosed conditions. I left the NHS in November 2005 to join LBhealthcare to set up a neurophysiotherapy clinic to treat stroke victims, MS and Parkinson’s sufferers. At LBhealthcare I have developed a hydrotherapy service for Parkinson’s Disease sufferers and work closely with the local Fareham and District Branch of the Parkinson’s Disease Society. I have 2 young children which keep me on my toes and have always enjoyed taking part in sporting activities. I enjoy most water sports and am a keen scuba diver and sailor. I am a regular attendee of the gym to keep myself fit and active. I am state registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC), a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN).

Biography: Sports Therapist I completed a Sports Therapy degree in 2016 from the University of Chichester and qualified with a upper second class honours degree. As a child and into my teenage years I was very active and involved in a lot of sport such as TeamGym, dance and trampolining. My passion for sports therapy stemmed from seeing team mates suffer with sport ending injuries and I was fascinated with the rehabilitation they had to go through to get back to fitness. I have worked in a private sports massage clinic as-well as volunteering at a semi professional football club delivering pitch side sports therapy and running two evenings clinics for the 2015/2016 season. I then went on to work work as the first team sports therapist for the 2016 pre season period. I enjoy working in a team environment and would love to work with more sports teams/ athletes in the future, focusing on the rehabilitation elements in order to return individuals to optimal function. Outside of working I love to keep fit through gym based resistance sessions and classes. I also enjoy seeing new places and going on city breaks when I can.
