About Preston Dental Center
Modern technology and techniques are used while treating patients at this dental clinic located at Preston Street in Ottawa. Preventive dentistry and the long term dental and oral health of patients is the main focus of the team at the clinic. The team strives to create an environment where patients feel at ease from the first visit and find dentistry a positive experience. Services at the clinic include examinations and hygiene services, general dental care, children’s dentistry, child and adult orthodontics, cosmetic smile improvement procedures and treatments for TMJ disorders.

Biography: Karen won many academic awards at New Glasgow High School, studied a single year in the Science program at Dalhousie before transferring to the Dalhousies Pharmacy program. Karen continued her academic excellence and was awarded several academic awards when she was awarded her BSc. in Pharmacy in 1985.Karen worked for one year as a full time pharmacist in Halifax and then 4 years on a part time basis as she supported herself through dental school also at Dalhousie.Karen graduated from the Dalhousie University School of Dentistry and immediately moved to Ottawa where she has practiced since May 1990.Karen has a family orientated general dental practice and is always welcoming new patients as she shares the excitement of the modern facilities at Preston Dental Centre.

Biography: Liana is an Ottawa native who graduated high school with the highest overall average in her class before moving to Montreal to pursue her dream (since before she can remember!) to become a dentist. After just one year of undergraduate studies, Liana was admitted to the dentistry program at Université de Montréal, where she worked tirelessly to learn the cornerstones of her profession.Upon completing her doctorate in medical dentistry, Liana returned to her beloved hometown and spent four years honing her craft in Orleans. She quickly learned that her true passion is to deliver comprehensive treatment of the highest caliber, which includes keeping up to date with all the latest technological advancements dentistry has to offer. Liana prides herself in providing gentle, attentive care to fulfill each patients individual dental needs. Preston Dental Centre is the perfect home for Liana to do just that, and she couldnt be more excited to be part of the PDC team.

Biography: Dr. Bayne is dedicated to serving her patients and her community through practice of state-of-the-art dental care. With almost ten years of experience in the Edmonton area, Dr. Bayne is thrilled to bring her enthusiasm and expertise to the Preston Dental Centre team.Dr. Bayne received her degree in biology from the University of Winnipeg (94). She then attended the University of Alberta (00) where she received numerous clinical and academic awards and was placed Inaugural Deans Honour list of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.Dr. Bayne is an expert in cosmetic, implant and restorative dentistry. She is fascinated by advancements in dentistry and keeps up-to-date with the latest technologies, techniques and equipment. She is a standing member of the Canadian Dental Association and Ontario Dental Association. Locally, she is a member of the Ottawa womens dental study club.
