With many years of experience between our dentists and some of the most up-to-date technology available, we are always aiming to provide our patients with the highest standard of dentistry possible and establishing a foundation of excellent oral health and provide our patients with preventative care in a friendly, relaxed and comforting environment. We offer both inhalation and IV sedation. There is a clinic for Minor Oral Surgery.

He held an honorary position at Bristol Dental Hospital in the Oral Surgery department. Matthew’s continued enthusiasm, passion for dentistry and compassion he shows his patients is always well received. He also enjoys treating children and helping them achieved good oral health.Matthew's hobbies make him a bit of an action man, and no wonder as they include climbing, sailing, diving, skiing, motor biking and running. Infact he completed the London Marathon in April 2014!

As an undergraduate, Jo had considered joining the Military as a Dental Officer but it was in her VT year that she decided that she wanted more of a challenge and in 1998 she was commissioned into the Royal Army Dental Corps.Following officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst she served in North Yorkshire, Falkland Islands, Northern Ireland, Germany, Central London, Windsor, Colchester and Pirbright, gaining operational experience in Kosovo, Iraq and most recently Afghanistan. During her time in the Army Jo was able to attain Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, Royal College of Surgeons and her Masters degree in Conservative Dentistry. She has been Senior Dental Officer in a number of military dental centres and also acted as a specialist interest dentist (Restorative Dentistry), foundation dentist trainer and has instructed on a number of military dental courses. After 16 years of service, Jo decided to leave the Army, “I am extremely proud of my military career, particularly as I have been able to travel and carry out dentistry in some arduous conditions. The time has now come for my husband and me to settle down and lead a more stable life. I am very much looking forward to joining the team at Rock House and helping them continue to provide the excellent standard of dentistry for which they are renowned.”Jo has now settled in the fabulous town of Frome where she enjoys the variety that the town has to offer. Jo currently spends most her spare time working on house renovations but also loves listening to music, cooking and walking Ziggy, a very arthritic Springer Spaniel.

Biography: Hannah Pepper    BSc(hons), BDS, MFDS, MBChB(hons), MRCSDentist with a Specialist Interest in Oral and Maxillofacial SurgeryHannah qualified in dentistry from Bristol in 1999 having won the undergraduate commendation prizes in oral medicine and oral surgery.She completed General Professional Training in Newcastle Dental Hospital where she trained in sedation, paediatric dentistry and oral surgery whilst passing her MFDS from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. She worked in Melbourne Dental Hospital in oral surgery for a year and then returned to Bristol to work for a year in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Royal Infirmary. She has worked in general dental practice with many years of experience in sedation, both inhalation and intravenous.She embarked on a medical degree in 2007 finishing with honours. Working as a hospital doctor for 6 years she gained valuable experience in paediatrics, general medicine and surgery, completing her MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011.Currently, Hannah works at the Royal United Hospital in Bath as a Specialty Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She is on the examining board for the MFDS of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Biography: BDS Wales (2002)GDC number: 81079Member of The British Dental AssociationWe would like to introduce you to Neil Dibden who joined us in 2016 and welcome him to our team.Neil will be caring for those patients who are under the care of Helena Morrell who left at the end of January.With Wells and the surrounding area having new homes and many families moving in, we are delighted that he will be able to work full time. Originally from Southampton in Hampshire, Neil qualified from the University of Wales, College of Medicine and Dentistry in 2002. He started work in general practice in a small village on the outskirts of Winchester, where he found his passion for treating nervous patients, and becoming part of the local community.  With further experience in large multi-discipline NHS practices in North Somerset and private practice near Surrey, Neil and his family have now made a home here in Somerset. A keen interest in ongoing dental education resulted in him becoming a Foundation Trainer in 2011, in a role which involved the mentoring of newly qualified dental practitioners.Particular fields of interest include the treatment of very nervous patients, and minimal intervention cosmetic dentistry.Outside of work Neil enjoys Motorsport and performance cars, and spends countless hours walking their beloved dog in the Mendip hills and on the local beaches, with his young family.

Biography: BDS  MFDS RCS(Edin)   MFDS RCS(Eng)  MSc Dip Imp Dent (UCL) GDC number 77107Special Interest in Periodontal and Implant DentistryScott visits us to treat those patients referred to him with moderate to advanced periodontal disease, aesthetic concerns and implants.Scott graduated from Bristol Dental Hospital in 1999; his past hospital positions have included Senior House Officer posts in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative Dentistry and Oral Medicine.He has previously been a full time clinical lecturer and examiner in Restorative Dentistry at Bristol University and the School of Professionals complementary to Dentistry. He continues to provide local postgraduate lectures to hygienists, therapists and dentists.Scott completed a Masters (MSc) in Restorative dentistry in 2006, from this his main area of special interest in periodontal (gum) disease developed and he now undertakes all forms of periodontal treatment including surgical, regenerative and non-surgical methods. He has been undertaking referrals for periodontal treatment in the South West for over ten years.  To further expand and complete his periodontal service, he completed a three year Diploma in Implant Dentistry, attaining a distinction, from the world renown Eastman Dental Institute associated with University College London, enabling him to accept referrals for this treatment option.He is married to Becky, who is a consultant head and neck radiologist. They have two young children.

Biography: GDC number:108677Les was one of the first Clinical Dental Technicians to have passed all the exams that lead to the new registration of Clinical Dental Technicians.Mr Leslie Wheatley, originally from the West Midlands and a Freeman of Coventry City, qualified as a Dental Technician in 1967. In 1972 he moved to Somerset and established his dental laboratory, ’Dental Design’ in Langport, Somerset where he now employs other fellow technicians.Committed to quality, only the best materials are used at the laboratory to manufacture and produce Dentures, Crowns, Bridges, Implants, Orthodontic Appliances and Sports Mouth guards. Mr Wheatley qualified as a Clinical Dental Technician in July 2002 with the George Brown College ‘Denturist’ programme in Toronto, Canada (Denturist is a Canadian term for Clinical Dental Technician). Most recently, the General Dental Council together with The Royal College of Surgeons, have recognised Clinical Dental Technicians to be an essential and much needed member of the dental team as they are in Europe and other countries i.e. Australia, America and Canada.
