Biography: Mean Fong earned a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Sheffield, U.K. in 1982. She practiced in a Group practice in Kuala Lumpur until 1985 when she joined Westmead Hospital, NSW, Australia as a Dental Officer. She eventually became Head of Community Dental Health Unit at the hospital. During this time she earned her Masters degree in Preventive Dentistry at the University of Sydney. She was invited to join the International College of Dentists in 1994. In 1995 she returned to Malaysia and set up Yee Dental Surgery.
